Bet sizing
Bet sizing is the choice of how much to bet, which sets the price your opponent is offered and therefore how often they are correct to continue.
Size and price are the same thing seen from two sides. A bet of half the pot asks the caller to put in 0.5 to win 1.5, so they need to be right 25% of the time, and a pot sized bet moves that to 33%.
The common mistake is sizing to the hand rather than to the situation. If your big bets are always your big hands, the size becomes a tell, and the number of hands in your range that want each size matters more than what you happen to hold.

your cards
board
You have top pair with the best kicker in a pot of 100. Betting 33 gives a gutshot the price to call, betting 75 does not, and betting 100 mostly folds out the worse kings you were hoping would pay.
This example is made up. The real one is in your own hand history: find bet sizing in your own hands and see how often it came up and what it cost you.
