Pot committed

You are pot committed when so much of your stack is already in that folding to the next bet would be wrong even with a hand you are not happy about.

It is a description of a price, not a state of mind. If the pot is large and what is left behind is small, the odds on the last call are so good that almost any hand with a share of the pot has to take them.

The useful moment is earlier than the commitment itself. Being committed is decided by the bets you already made, so the size to think about is the one on the street before, not the all in you are now obliged to call.

your cards

board

You raised, bet the flop and got raised, and the pot is 180 with 40 left in your stack. Calling 40 to win 220 needs you to be right 15.4% of the time, and a pair of queens is ahead of far more than that.

This example is made up. The real one is in your own hand history: find pot committed in your own hands and see how often it came up and what it cost you.
