Give up
To give up is to stop betting a hand you have been bluffing with and let the pot go, because another bet costs more than the chance it works is worth.
Every bluff needs a street to stop on. A player who fires every barrel every time is not aggressive, they are predictable, and the money lost on the third bet in the hands that were never folding pays for everyone else at the table.
The hands to give up with are the ones with no equity left. If a hand can still improve, it has a reason to keep betting, and if it can only win by folding out better hands that are not folding, it belongs in the checked group.

your cards
board
You bet the flop and the turn with ace high and were called both times. The river changes nothing. A third bet only folds out hands you already beat, so the check saves the money the bluff would have burned.
This example is made up. The real one is in your own hand history: find give up in your own hands and see how often it came up and what it cost you.
