Overpair
An overpair is a pocket pair higher than every card on the board.
It is a strong hand and a trap at the same time. It beats every one pair hand made with the board, which is most of what an opponent has, and it loses to every two pair, set and straight, which is a small part of what they have but the part that keeps betting.
The higher the pair the less this matters, and the more the board changes the more it does. An overpair on the flop is often no longer an overpair after a turn card, and it is worth checking that before putting a stack in.

Your jacks are higher than the nine, the six and the three, so you have an overpair. You beat any nine and any six. You lose to 99, 66, 33 and to 9 6, and those are exactly the hands that will raise you.
