Brick
also called blank
A brick is a card that changes nothing: it completes no draw, pairs nobody in an obvious way, and leaves both ranges as strong or as weak as they were.
Bricks are good news for whoever was ahead and bad news for whoever needed help. Nothing about the hand has changed except that there is one card fewer to come, so the player who was drawing has lost some of their equity for free.
That is why a brick is often the best card to keep betting on. The hands that called hoping to improve have not improved, and the second bet asks them to give up on a card that gave them nothing.

your cards
board
You hold two hearts and the turn is the two of spades. It brings no flush, no straight and no realistic new pair, so everyone still has exactly what they had on the flop, and you still need one of the nine remaining hearts.
This example is made up. The real one is in your own hand history: find brick in your own hands and see how often it came up and what it cost you.
