Double barrel
A double barrel is a second bet on the turn after you already bet the flop, continuing the same story rather than starting a new one.
It is the bet that separates a habit from a plan. Almost everyone bets the flop after raising, so a flop bet says very little, and the turn is where an opponent finds out whether the first bet meant anything.
Choose the card, not the hand. Turns that improve the range you are representing, and miss the hands that called you, are the ones worth firing at, and a turn that helps their calling range is a reason to stop.

You bet the flop with nothing and the turn brings a third heart. You still have no pair, and now nine hearts give you the best flush, so the second bet can win at once or win later.
